Gunjshakar Special Education Complex, Okara was established in July 1987. Initially, this centre was set up for visually impaired children only, However, later on physically challenged children are also accommodated. In the beginning, this centre was executing its work in rented building and now it has been shifted in its own building in 2006 situated at Shamsia Colony, Eid Gah Road, Okara. It draws attention of people owing to picturesque location and lavish facilities. The building of special education complex consists of eighteen (18) kanal area and provides great facilities for physically challenged people. It houses vast air-conditioned hall in the center which serves multiple purposes. A library and playgrounds are among other facilities.

Make sure furniture is stable and won’t be easily knocked over if a child runs into it. Secure rug edges to the floor to prevent slips/trips.
